Rachael & Drew - A Day Filled with Love and Color
Photography done by Perennial Feels
When Rachel & Drew first connected with us, their wedding was simply a concept. They knew they wanted a fun, unique celebration but didn’t know where or how that would shake out. That is where we came in. After exploring and touring multiple venues with us, Rachael & Drew fell in love with Appleford Estate (how could you not?) and decided on a late-fall celebration.
We took Rachael's vision of jewel tones and created a stunning color palette - think bright teal, berry, maroon, various shades of purple, mustard, and more. We based all of the design decisions around said palette. When it came to choosing a florist, the choice could not have been more obvious. Misha at Woodland Floral knows how to take a color palette on paper and bring it to life with stunning flowers. Rachael’s bouquet? That chuppah? Those centerpieces? The seating chart arrangements? All to-die-for.
To incorporate the palette even more, we brought in specialty jewel-toned napkins from Nuage designs and blue glassware from Citrine Tablescapes. Kelsey at Creamery Hill provided iridescent candle holders that picked up and reflected all of the colors in the tablescape.
Creamery Hill also made two show-stoppers for the big day. The first, being the super funky seating chart and the second being the welcome moment that then transformed into the sweetheart table backdrop. All of the custom-built signage was created in varying colors from their palette. Kelsey of Creamery Hill also provided multiple furniture lounges that were set up in the cocktail hour area, which indeed both stunning pops of color and practical places for guests to lounge.
Haley of Perennial Feels captured the day in her signature heart-felt, intimate style. She gave Rachael & Drew unique prompts to get them talking and laughing and even led a quick meditation session that got both the bride and the groom crying. The time we spent during portraits felt completely intentional, intimate, and purposeful, especially when Rachel & Drew’s adorable son joined in.
When we look back on this day, we think of a day filled with laughter, color, and love, which is exactly what Rachael & Drew set out to curate.
